Born in 1953 in Gifu Prefecture. In 1979, Suzuki finished the Master’s course at Graduate School of Engineering of The University of Tokyo. After being employed by Toyota Central R&D Labs., Inc., he is currently a Professor Emeritus, the University of Tokyo, and a Project Professor of Institute for Future Initiatives of the University of Tokyo after retirement of a Professor of the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics of the University of Tokyo. Doctor of Engineering. Specialization: aeronautical engineering. The 43rd President of the Japan Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences. President of International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences. His publications include Hikōki Monogatari (published by Chikumashobo Ltd.), Gendai Kōkūron (Editor, The University of Tokyo Press) and Ochinai Hikōki eno Chōsen (Kagaku-Dojin Publishing Company, INC).

Chizuru is a Director at the Secretariat of The Special Commission on Digital Administrative Reform in the Digital Agency since 2021. Her mission is that spearheading digitization of the regulation across the Japanese government according to 5 “Digital principles” settled in 2020.
Chizuru joined the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 2003, where she developed her expertise in a range of policy including energy, finance and technology. She is currently working as a Director for Digital Economy at METI.
As a founding Head of the World Economic Forum Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Japan, between 2018 and 2021, Chizuru oversaw a team of nearly three dozen of full-time staff and fellows engaged in projects related to global data governance, smart cities, next-generation mobility and healthcare.
Chizuru holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Law, the University of Tokyo.

Prof. SK Saha, a 1983 Mechanical Engineering graduate from NIT, Durgapur, India, completed his M. Tech from IIT Kharagpur, India, and Ph. D from McGill University, Canada. Upon completion of his Ph. D, in 1991 he joined Toshiba Corporation’s R&D Center in Japan. After about 4-years of work experience in Japan, he has been with IIT Delhi since 1996.

Dr. (Yoshi) Ichikawa, is a visiting professor of Tama Graduate School of Business (Center for Rule-Making Strategy) and Tokyo City University (Faculty of Environmental Studies). He received Doctor of Eng. degree in 1987 from the University of Tokyo, Japan. He joined in Hitachi, Ltd., in 1979 and retired in 2020. His international activities include the leader of WG2 in ISO TC 323 (Circular Economy), the former chairman and the convenor of the CAG of ISO TC 268/SC1 (Smart Community Infrastructures),the former chairman of IEC TC111 (Environmental Standardisation), He received Thomas Edison Award from IEC in 2016 for his long-term chairmanship in IEC.

He joined Blue innovation in October 2019 and assumed the current position in July 2022. He had worked for Sharp and Nabtesco, where he was engaged in overseas sales planning and business strategy. Led by his motivation of global expansion for Japanese business, he participates in Blue innovation’s strategy building and its execution.

Sissel Thorstensen is a serial entrepreneur and expert in digital marketing and hotel acquisitions. She founded Dragonflypads in 2020 and developed the first-generation vertipads. Based in Paris, she's a key member of the ISO committee on vertipads.

Advanced Air Mobility such as drones and eVTOLs has a potential in bringing air transportation closer to our everyday life and thus solving various social problems. This session considers how AAM can impact local society and also introduces an attempt made by various local governments in Japan in order to make AAM reality.

Interest in "flying cars" is growing as a new type of mobility that will revolutionize air mobility. Until now, Hyogo Prefecture has been making pioneering efforts in social implementation of drones by making use of various fields. Taking advantage of this knowledge, we will promote initiatives to take the lead in social implementation of “flying cars” at the 2025 Osaka/Kansai Expo.

In Gifu Prefecture, There are many companies that manufacture aircraft. Taking advantage of its characteristics, our prefecture not only supports the utilization of drones, but also promotes the development of drone industries. We will introduce our prefecture's support measures based on the "Gifu Prefecture Drone Development, Manufacture, and Utilization Policy" formulated in March this year, as well as initiatives related to drones in our prefecture.

Fukushima Prefecture is promoting the accumulation of robot and drone-related industries based on the national project "Fukushima Innovation Coast Initiative" in order to recover industry in the Hamadori area, which was lost due to the Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear disaster. We will introduce initiatives aimed at aggregating drone-related industrie, such as various subsidy systems, including support for development demonstrations, centered on the Fukushima Robot Test Field.

He leads and engages in research on air traffic management for advanced air mobility and drones at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. He joined JAXA (then National Aerospace Laboratory of Japan) in 1997 with M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from University of Tokyo, Japan. He was a research fellow at University of Liverpool from 2008 to 2009.

After joining KDDI in 2004, he was engaged in planning and development of cellular network.
From 2014, he was engaged in wireless communication protocol development for device terminals, and started to work the commercialization of drones in 2016 by utilizing his expertise in mobile communication technology.
In 2022, he was appointed President and CEO of KDDI SmartDrone Inc.
